2 Views, Tallinn/Hamilton

Two Views came about through my ongoing interest in Kleenex and the stunning view from the window of the studio I occupied while on a residency in Tallinn, Estonia. Kleenex is a material I associate with grief, illness and violence, themes my work has addressed over the past few years. More prosaically, it is readily available almost everywhere, transports conveniently and is easily disposable which makes it an ideal material for travel work. It can also be beautiful and evocative, recalling almost instantly, tears shed and illnesses endured.
